The crisis between Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels and her estranged billionaire husband, Senator Ned Nwoko seems not to have ended as her elder brother, Sweezzy, launched a fresh petition against the politician.
Urging people to sign the petition, Sweezzy said that Ned, as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales, could face scrutiny from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) in the UK, even while residing in Nigeria.
In about 24 hours of sharing the petition which demanded accountability for alleged abuse of power and intimidation, more than 18,000 verified signatures have been recorded, drawing massive online support.
Taking to his Instagram story, he said:
“Matters like domestic abuse, harassment, and abuse of power are treated seriously in the UK. Run it up by signing the petition.”
The petition comes amid ongoing scrutiny of Sammy West arrest, Regina’s other brother, who has been actively defending his sister during the family crisis.
The bold move of Sweezy has been praised by social media users, with many urging more people to sign the petition and demand justice. Already, the petition has enjoyed wave of support online, as Nigerians and international observers call for justice, accountability, and protection against abuse of power.
