Bandits have again abducted eight worshippers in ECWA church in Omugo, Oro-Ago community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.
In the abduction that took place in the early hour of Sunday, three of the abductees were said to have been rescued by joint security forces.
Earlier, the Coordinator of Joint Security Watch, Kwara South Senatorial District, Zubair Olaitan, had alerted the people of communities in Ifelodun, Irepodun and Isin LGAs of imminent of attack.

Kwara State Government has however, tasked the security forces and local vigilantes to make sure that the bandits are apprehended.
Kwara State Commissioner for Communications, Bolanle Olukoju, on Sunday, urged the security forces, forest guards, local vigilantes, and community members to continue to work together to end the menace.

“While commending the immediate response of the security forces and other stakeholders, we task them to ensure that the ongoing manhunt leads to the rescue of the remaining victims and arrest of the perpetrators.”
