Kano State Government House was put under heavy security on Monday ahead of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s rumored defection to the All Progressive Congress.
Although the rumoured defection has not been officially confirmed, but Governor Yusuf is believed to be considering a move to the All Progressives Congress, a development that has continued to generate intense speculation across the state.
Report by Daily Trust disclosed that at least seven Armoured Personnel Carriers from the police and the DSS were stationed at various locations around the State House and the roundabout leading to the complex.
The heavy presence of security men has restricted movement around the area with checks on individuals seeking access to the Government House.
Already, the news of the governor’s planned defection from the New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP, to the All Progressive Congress, APC is everywhere.
