The rift between the Senator representing Kogi Central, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan and Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, seems to have come to an end as the Kogi lawmaker has invited her fellow senators to attend the commissioning of her constituency projects.
This became public knowledge on Thursday when Akpabio read out Natasha’s letter inviting colleagues to join her in Ihima, Okene Local Government Area, for the commissioning of constituency projects to mark her second year in the Senate.
In the letter personally signed by the Kogi lawmaker, the senators are expected to meet at her residence, Plot 101, Jimoh Akpoti Street, Ihima, Kogi State on Sunday 2nd November.
“In marking my second year anniversary as serving senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, I wish to invite fellow distinguished senators to join me for projects inauguration in Kogi State.”
Upon reading the invitation, Senator Akpabio congratulated Akpoti-Uduaghan in advance, saying, “Congratulations in advance.”

Suspended on March 6, 2025 following a face-off with Akpabio on the reallocation of her seat during plenary, Akpoti-Uduaghan had protested at the time which led to accusations of gross misconduct and later a dramatic walkout that attracted national attention at the time.
Later, she accused the Senate President of running the affairs of the chamber with a “dictatorial hand,” which Akpabio said breached parliamentary decorum which led to her suspension. She only returned to the upper chamber two weeks ago after protracted court battle.
Since her resumption on September 24, Akpoti-Uduaghan has been contributing to proceedings such as additional prayers on the Criminal Code Act (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
Her latest letter of invitation has been seen by observers as a direct step toward reconciliation with the Senate President.
