The Independent National Electoral Commission has started the collation of results for the Anambra State governorship election across all the polling units in the state.
The collation exercise which is taking place at the commission’s headquarters in Awka, is under the supervision of the state Returning Officer and Vice Chancellor, University of Benin, Prof. Edogah Omoregie.
In the welcoming address of the state’s Residential Electoral Commissioner, Dr Queen Awgu, she said that the “This exercise is to declare the outcome of the election held on November 8, 2025.”
The coalition started at the end of sorting and counting of results in the areas where election took place peacefully across the 21 local government areas of the state.
Voter turnout was relatively low in many polling units in spite of the early arrival of election materials.
