Bandits at it Again, Threaten to Attack Kwara Communities

In spite of many recent attacks in Kwara State, bandits have notified three communities in Oyun Local Government of their intention to attack soon.

In a notification letter picked where it was dropped at Ira market area, a group known as Nigeria Terrorists Association, NTA, have planned to invade Ira, Inaja and Aho communities.

According to the letter, members of the terrorist group, claimed to have left Kaiama in Kwara North Senatorial District to Oyun local government, in the Kwara South and “they shall be coming to attack Ira town, Inaja and Aho village anytime soon.”

Already, the letter according to Daily Post has created panic and tension among residents and also geared all the security agencies into series of operationally preparedness.

The Nigerian Army through a ‘FORWARD OPERATION BASE’ FOB, in Ilemona is currently playing significant role in the patrol of those areas, as well as other security personnel.

Just on Sunday, security forces repelled bandits attack from the headquarters of Ifelodun local government area of the state and also in Kwara South Senatorial District.

This involved hour of exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the armed bandits but without any casualty.
