Hilda Effiong Baci, a one time world record-holder for longest cooking marathon is set to break a new world record.

The new record-breaking attempt is taking place at the Gino Jollof Festival on Friday September 12 at the popular Eko Hotel and Suites.

This historic feat involves preparing a giant pot measuring six metres wide and six metres tall. This is the world biggest pot.

“Yes, I can officially confirm this pot is squeaky clean! I rolled up my sleeves and washed it myself. In just a few hours, this same pot will carry thousands of servings of Nigerian Jollof history in the making,” she wrote.

It is also confirmed that about 250 bags of rice will be cooked for thousands of people that will be in attendance

Celebrities have trooped in as well as Nigerians who believe in her dream.

Just last night, the venue was changed from Muri Okunola park to Eko Hotel car park due to the need for a larger and more prestigious stage for what is expected to be one of Nigeria’s most memorable cultural and culinary celebrations.

Beyond the Guinness World Record attempt, the festival will feature food exhibitions, cultural showcases, live entertainment designed to celebrate Jollof rice as a symbol of identity in Nigeria
