The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board has revealed that it spent N113.8m to supervise seven centres outside Nigeria where candidates sat for the 2025 edition of the examination.
The Board disclosed on Monday that it had integrated the number of foreign students admitted as a criterion for the NATAP M-Award which is recognizing institutions that excel in international student recruitment.
The seven foreign centres according to them are located in London in United Kingdom, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, Cameroon, Accra in Ghana, Cotonou in Benin Republic, Johannesburg in South Africa and Lome in Togo.”
The Board revealed that taking UTME to the international level is to improve global visibility of Nigerian tertiary institutions and encouraging international students to enroll which has so far yielded positive result.
