Following the fatal road accident last Monday that claimed the lives of two associates of Anthony Joshua, an atmosphere of grief enveloped London on Sunday as members of the boxing community and friends gathered to give them last respect and bid them farewell.
Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Nigeria last year, on Monday December 29, 2025, where Joshua was also involved but escaped with minor injuries.
With their bodies later moved to the United Kingdom, Janaza (funeral prayer) for them took place in London, drawing mourners who came to pay their final respects.

The accident, which took place during a visit to Nigeria last month, has generated public reactions about the safety of road journey.

Anthony Joshua had been travelling as a passenger in a Lexus SUV that crashed into a stationary truck. He was treated and discharged from hospital on New Year’s Eve.
They were both seen as key figures in Joshua’s inner circle, with significant contribution to his training, preparation and professional rise.
Born in Watford to Nigerian parents, the Boxer had journeyed to Nigeria for a holiday following his victory over Jake Paul in Miami on December 19.
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, the driver involved in the crash, was arraigned by the Ogun State Police Command on charges of causing death by dangerous driving and operating a vehicle without a valid licence.
