The Nigerian naira experienced a significant appreciation against the US dollar in both official and parallel foreign exchange markets on Monday, beginning the week on a positive note.
Abubakar Alhasan, a Bureau De Change operator in Wuse Zone 4, Abuja, told DAILY POST that the naira strengthened to N1,485 per dollar at the black market on Monday, up from N1,500 on Friday, October 25, 2025.
This shows that the naira gained N15 against the dollar at the black market compared to the close of last week.
At the official market as well, data from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed that the naira appreciated by N5.16 to close on Monday at N1,452.79 to the dollar, up from N1,457.96 on Friday.
