Okitipupa Local Council to Get Driver’s Licence Issuance Office

The Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon. Andrew Ogunsakin, has disclosed that processes have commenced to bring a Driver’s License Office to Okitipupa.

Hon. Ogunsakin made this known during the Security and Intelligence Meeting held at the council secretariat earlier today, stressing that the move is part of his administration’s resolve to ease the stress residents currently face in accessing driver’s license services.

He noted that at present, residents are compelled to travel long distances to neighboring towns to process or renew their licenses, a situation he described as burdensome and unacceptable.

“We have already begun the necessary processes with the relevant authorities to ensure that a Driver’s License Office is brought to Okitipupa. This facility will save our people time, energy, and resources, while also bringing essential government services closer to them,” he said.

According to him, the initiative is a testament of his administration’s commitment to infrastructural and institutional development and will help ensure that residents of Okitipupa enjoy equal access to services as those in other parts of the state.
