Following the demise of former President Muhammadu Buhari in London, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received His remains at the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Airport, Katsina.
The president who arrived at the airport from Abuja at 1:42 pm had concluded the inspection of guard of honour prior the arrival of the Nigerian Air Force that contained the corpse at 1:52 pm.
Other leaders across Africa that joined President Tinubu to welcome the corpse are the former President of Niger, Issoufou Mahamadou, Guinea-Bissau President, Umaro Sissoco Embalo, former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and other sea of dignitaries.
The body of the late president was accompanied by his wife, Aisha Buhari, Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila and other family members of the diseased.
Upon arrival at the airport, a joint team of military Pallbearers rested the casted on a trolley after which the one hour journey to Daura began where funeral prayer and interment would take place.
