Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu will leave Abuja on Monday, for a visit to the Republic of Türkiye.
This was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, in a statement signed on Sunday with the heading: “President Tinubu to undertake state visit to Türkiye.”

“The visit is aimed at strengthening the existing cordial relations between the two countries and exploring further areas of cooperation in security, education, social development, innovation, and aviation,” Onanuga said.
President Tinubu’s visit will engage the two countries in strategic political and diplomatic discussions on common goals such as in communication, finance, trade and investment.
“The agenda will include meetings between high-ranking officials of both nations and the signing of memoranda of understanding in scientific research, energy, technical cooperation, media and communications, military cooperation and protocol, among others.”

Members of the President’s entourage participating in the bilateral discussions include: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar; Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi SAN; Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd) and Chairman, House Committee on Defence, Jimi Benson, Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Imaan Suleiman-Ibrahim.
Others include: Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Minister of Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Mohammed Mohammed.
