Tinubu Makes Fresh Appointments into Federal Civil Service

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of five new Permanent Secretaries to fill existing vacancies in the Federal Civil Service.

This was announced by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Walson-Jack in a statement issued by the Director, Information and Public Relations, Mrs Eno Olotu, on Monday in Abuja.

The new Permanent Secretaries are Ibrahim Ozi (Federal Capital Territory), Ezemama Chidiebere (Imo State), Garba Usman (North Central), Mohammed Ishiyaku (North East), and Ukaire Chigbowu (South East).

“The appointments followed a rigorous and transparent selection process in line with the Administration’s commitment to meritocracy and excellence in the Civil Service.

“The new Permanent Secretaries bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, which will further strengthen the delivery of Public Services and support the government’s development agenda,” the statement added.

The statement further stated that the appointments reflect the administration’s dedication to fostering a competent and results-oriented public service that meets the needs of Nigerians.

It urged the newly appointed officials to show commitment, competence, and integrity in carrying out their responsibilities, which plays significant roles in enhancing effective governance and improving service delivery across ministries.
