President Bola Tinubu will, today, Sunday, receive the certificate and flag of the All Progressives Congress, APC, as its presidential candidate for the 2027 elections.
This was disclosed by presidential spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Saturday in Abuja.
Onanuga said, the APC Presidential Primary Elections Committee will formally present the certificate and party flag to the President at the event.
The event will take place at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja after nationwide collation of the primary election results.
Results from the election show that President Tinubu recorded a landslide victory in the APC, presidential primary election.
In Abia State, Tinubu polled 161,005 votes to defeat his only rival, His Stanley Osifol, who scored 1,007 votes.
In Ogun State, Osifo did not have any vote while a total of 322,485 votes to emerge winner of the exercise.
Tinubu scored of 374,787 votes in Benue to defeat Osifo, who scored 779 votes in the exercise held across the 23 Local Government areas of the state.
Rivers’ people gave Tinubu 280,082 to defeat his rival Osifo, who scored zero in the primary that was conducted across the wards of the 23 local government areas.
Delta State was not an exemption as President Tinubu polled 407,646 votes across all 25 Local Government Areas to win in Delta State.
He polled 100,880 votes in Osub to win the exercise against his opponent, Mr Stanley Osifo who polled zero votes.
APC governors, members of the National Executive Committee, the National Working Committee, and the National Assembly, along with party stalwarts, will attend the event.
