Arsenal on Tuesday gloriously ended their 22-year protracted wait to lift Premier League title after Manchester City were held 1-1 by Bournemouth.

Pep Guardiola’s men needed to beat the Cherries to keep the title race alive until the final day.

Finishing second for the past three seasons, Gunners have finally made it over the line to end a six-year trophy drought.

Arsenal’s victory came with a 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday, giving them five clear points ahead of City.

Arsenal predominantly bounced back after losing to City in April and winning four straight matches without conceding a goal.

It was Kroupi Junior that opened the scoring for Bournemouth with a superb curling effort past Gianluigi Donnarumma, after which City struggled to convert the few chances they created.

David Brooks missed two chances to double the lead for the hosts, before Erling Haaland fired in a late equalizer.

Arsenal will now be presented with the trophy during Sunday’s game at Crystal Palace

Bournemouth will be in the Europa League after ensuring they will finish no lower than seventh.

Having been unable to lift the league title for two consecutive seasons for the first time in his coaching career, Guardiola looks set to say goodbye to City.
