Nigerian Army has buried Brigadier General Oseni Braimah and other soldiers killed by terrorists in Borno State.
In a statement shared on X, the Nigerian army said the burial ceremony, “marked by deep sorrow, honour and reflection,” took place on Wednesday at the Maimalari Cantonment Cemetery in Maiduguri.
The soldiers buried with Braimah were Azubuike Michael Esimai, a captain and other gallant soldiers who paid the supreme price in their line of duty.”
The statement released reads: “Amidst grieving families and fellow comrades, the fallen heroes were accorded full military honours in recognition of their selfless service and unwavering commitment to the defence of the nation.

“Their sacrifice serves as a poignant reminder of the heavy price paid daily by members of the Armed Forces to safeguard the peace, unity and security of Nigeria.”
They were killed on 9th April when terrorists launched attacks on military positions in Benisheikh, a town in Kaga Local Government Area along the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway.

Among those in attendance were Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, the Chief of Defence Staff, Christopher Musa, Olufemi Oluyede and other senior military officers.
