About 29 lives have been snuffed to death in a fresh attack by insurgents in Gombi local government areas of Adamawa State.
Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri confirmed this during a visit to the affected community in Gombi local government area of the state on Monday.

Describing the incident as both tragic and unacceptable, Fintiri assured the residents of the community of his administration’s commitment to strengthening security.
He also emphasized his government’s readiness to partners with security agencies to prevent further attacks and restore peace to the region.

The Emir of Gombi, Aggrey Ali, said the bandits operated for many hours, killing many residents, burning places of worship, and destroying property, including motorcycles.

The attackers according to eye witness account, stormed and killed youths mainly who are playing football on Sunday evening in the affected communities.
