Former Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, has won the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for the 2027 election in Kebbi State.
Malami’s special assistant on media, Mohammed Doka disclosed this in a statement shared on the former minister’s X account on Sunday
In the statement, Malami expressed appreciation to party leaders, stakeholders and supporters for the trust and backing shown toward his ambition ahead of the election.
Other ADC candidates who also won their tickets in the state are retired military officer Aminu Bande for Kebbi Central Senatorial District, retired Deputy Comptroller-General Ibrahim Mera secured the ticket for Kebbi North while Garba Danjuma emerged as the candidate for Kebbi South Senatorial District.

According to Doka, Malami is committed to delivering purposeful leadership, promoting good governance and addressing issues of justice, security and development in Kebbi State.
“Together, with unity and determination, we shall build a more prosperous future for generations to come,” the statement read.
